This has been the best site for almost everything to do with model boats. I re-entered the hobby about 2 years ago and new nothing of the major developments over a 40 year absence. Being a Fireboat nut, joining this site was a natural and gave me more info than I needed at first and encouragement to branch out into scratch building, tugs other Aerokits models and more

i think this is the best website on the web it has told me so much from all the great members it has, i have now got the bug of boat building and i can't leave it alone my my says i should move into my shed now i spend so much time in it.once again great site and keep up the good work from all who organised it many thanks Arthur

By Dave M on the 13th of April 2012:
I originally joined the site after I acquired a 34" model Fireboat. I was not new to modelling but required the detailed information to restore my model. I learnt so much about Fireboats and even the best motors, props, ESC and battery to use. The help freely given by Fireboat members encouraged me to share some of my own knowledge via the Forums and Blogs. The recent name change has opened the site to all modellers and I look forward to sharing model boat knowledge with an even wider audience.
Stephen (Fireboat) is to be congratulated in hosting such a brilliant site

By Gregg on the 31st of March 2012:
Iv'e been registered on this website for over 12 months now and its jam packed with information and detail. All you need is enough time to find it all. go ahead, surprise yourself and scroll through some of the pages, you will find things out, you have very often wondered about !
Best wishes.
Gregg.

I found this website when trying to help my father in law with his models. Now unfortunately he has passed away. But the boats live on with me, and thanks to advice from the members of this fantastic site. I thank you all, and look forward to building and restoring many more boats.

Hi, I have a 34inch Fire Tender, bought second hand in 1979.Originally I/c (signs of original fit),electric is the only way to go! I have new brass prop, shaft - in fact all the running gear and am ready to plan installation. Discovering this site is a real boon! Am in Loughborough so Watermead Park is ideal!

By Pete D on the 3rd of October 2010:
Terrific site, how many members have gained valuable info and been able to pass on info, the site has no doubt boosted the Fireboat Funday, and even gained scorn from a Colonial who I refuse to name that due to the success of F.F.D and this site the s/h price of Fireboats has rocketed and guess who has been blamed ? but Lyle (oops!) still remains a good mate and its good he is 10,500 miles away.
Cheers to all, Pete D.
